Lakeville has obtained a grant for $494,859 for a new well and water filtration plant. A $45,141 local match is required, which will be obtained from the utility fund. When this project is completed, we expect it to reduce the amount of chemicals used to purify the water and eliminate any "brown" water in the system. Construction will start in August and expected to be completed by March, 2012.

Lakeville has been granted a $706,000 grant to use for a downtown streetscape project. The town must have a local match of $176,000 to receive this grant. The Town Council & several committees are currently trying to raise funds for this local match.  Anyone with questions or comments or wishing to donate for this project, please contact a Town Council member or use the contact section of this website.
